I would to express my sincere appreciation for the Lima Comapny veterans that attended Patrick Dudley's internment services at Arlington National Cemetery on March 9, 2007. While it was a sad day for me and my family I know Patrick would have been very touched that he was remembered. I would very much like to correspond with "Doc" who served with Patrick. Unfortunately it was a traumatic day for me and I did not get his full name. Any asistance in helping me reconnect with him, or anyone else that served with Patrick, would be greatly appreciated. I would also like to share that Patrick and I truly enjoyed the opportunity to attend several reunions of LIMA company as Patrick considered the Marines his family, and this connection validated the importance of his sacrifices. Patrick's companion of 16 years, Pam.

Yukon, tough losing Patrick, and I was shocked when I read about Ira, Snowden and the others. Guess we're getting old. I've sent Richard a note. For some reason I've been deleted from everything. I'm not even on the Legacy List. Maybe I've missed one too many reunions. Semper Fi to all the folks I haven't seen in a while. Even Al Ross looks better than I do and I'm just 60!

I have wanted to contact some of the guys for almost 39 years now and never knew that there was a way to do it. Now, when I have just discovered this site, I find that I am too late to contact one of the greatest men I ever served with. I just sent a request off earlier today to the "webmaster" site to see if he could provide me with an address for Bob Snowden since I had seen him listed as the treasurer of the association. I was extremely happy for about 20 minutes until I read of his passing here in the guest book.. I have wanted to talk to him so much over the years and never followed up on it and now it is too late. Those of you that have taken advantage of the time to spend with him in the past should truly feel blessed for that contact. He provided the majority of the better memories of my time with Lima. I was with Lima from 12-67 until 1-69. Do any of you remember he and Gunny Loucks getting up during firefights and dancing in circles arm in arm while the song "harpers valley PTA" was heard from someones little transister radio? The war would stop at those moments and the rest of us would fall into the mud laughing and screaming for them to get their stupid asses down before they got shot. So many memories, and the loss is mine for not trying harder to find him. If any of you have guys that you have wanted to reach, please do so now, don't make this same mistake...Semper Fi Skipper,....Semper Fi... Goldie (81's FO)
